Unlock Creativity Using the Things on Your Desk
Everyday Objects, Extraordinary Stories is a playful, hands-on workshop that proves creativity doesn’t require perfectionism - just curiosity and whatever happens to be lying around your home. In this 90-minute session, we’ll turn ordinary household items into imaginative prompts that spark storytelling, creative thinking and surprising connections.
The Details
You’ll begin by choosing a simple object such as a mug, a key, a plant, a piece of clothing - anything within arm’s reach. Through guided exercises, you’ll learn to look at it with a new perspective, noticing its textures, shapes and hidden personality. From there, we’ll dive into creative-thinking techniques that help you unlock meaning, emotions, and metaphors you didn’t know were there.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll transform your object into something entirely unexpected: a character, a short narrative or a visual interpretation. No previous experience in storytelling or art is needed, just a willingness to play, share and follow your imagination where it wants to go.
This workshop is designed to be inclusive, and wonderfully unpredictable. It’s ideal for anyone who wants to reconnect with creativity, break out of routine, or simply spend an hour making something joyful out of the routine.
What you’ll need:
Participants should have 1-3 everyday objects from around their home, for example, a mug, key, plant, piece of clothing or small household item. You will also need a pen or pencil and paper, or a digital note-taking app. Optional: markers, coloured pencils for visual ideation.
Dates:
20th January 2026. 6PM. CET. Online. (1.5hrs)
