We’re doing away with hocus pocus and blowing away the stereotypes around tarot reading by introducing you to the Tarot of Marseilles. Through the hands-on, image-first approach of open reading, you’ll learn easy-to-remember reading rituals you can weave into daily life.

Everyone is welcome for this workshop and no deck or prior know-how are needed. However, it’s important to remember that tarot provides the spark; where it leads is your decision.

THE WORKSHOP

A detailed tarot card deck with traditional Italian, Milanese, Gergely, Bagaméri, and Midniget themes, including illustrated images of kings, queens, knights, and various symbolic designs.
A Tarot card deck featuring classic designs of the Major Arcana and Minor Arcana, arranged in a grid on a blue background with a central logo that reads "Midnight Deck" and an illustration of a moon.
A large collection of traditional Tarot cards arranged in rows. The cards feature artistic illustrations of figures, symbols, and patterns in colors of red, yellow, black, and gray. The center of the image has the words 'IQVES VEIL' stylized in black. Some cards depict royalty, warriors, and mythological creatures, while others show intricate geometric designs.
  • Learn how medieval playing cards evolved into the Tarot of Marseilles and why that history still matters today.

  • Master the open reading technique: balance, symbolism, and image-first interpretation that anyone can pick up on the spot.

  • Learn to use card allegories to mind-map keywords, explore what if? scenarios and translate cards to help you tackle work challenges, personal questions, or creative blocks.

MEET GERGELY

A young man with dark, wavy hair and a small gold hoop earring in his left ear, holding a fan of tarot cards. He is wearing a patterned shirt with intricate designs, standing against a neutral background.

Gergely Bagaméri is a cartomancer, illustrator, and deck-maker with a passion for the Tarot de Marseilles. By merging historical print techniques and hidden contemporary twists in his art, Gergely helps you unlock tarot as a new visual language for decision-making, creativity, and self-reflection. Drawing on five years of hands-on practice and his own woodblock-inspired decks, he shows how tarot cards can be less about fortune-telling and more about spiritual brainstorming for our present.
