Learn how to photograph strangers with confidence, clarity, and respect without the cringe
The Workshop
This workshop focuses on the human side of street photography. It looks at how you move through public space, how you approach people, and how confidence and intention shape the images you make.
Rather than treating street photography as something sneaky or confrontational, the session breaks down practical ways to photograph strangers with clarity and respect. The goal is to help you feel comfortable initiating interactions, working quickly when time is limited, and making images that feel deliberate rather than hesitant.
The Details
This 90 minute live session is experience led and built around practical, repeatable approaches.
You will learn how to approach strangers naturally, how to communicate clearly in the moment, and how to pose or guide people when you only have a short window. The workshop also covers how body language and tone influence reactions, and how to work with natural light on the street instead of avoiding it.
Attention is given to shooting candidly without feeling awkward, as well as to simple compositional habits that help images feel confident. The session also touches on post processing choices, focusing on keeping workflows light rather than over editing.
There will be time for questions throughout and at the end of the session.
By the end of the workshop, you will:
Feel more confident approaching strangers
Know how to interact and pose people quickly and respectfully
Capture candid street images that feel intentional
Use natural light more effectively in public spaces
Apply practical habits you can use immediately
Feel motivated to keep shooting and working outside your comfort zone
What you’ll need:
A camera. Any camera you are comfortable using.
Dates:
July 22nd, 2026. 6PM. Online.
