This is perfect for you, if you…
want to explore music by making, experimenting and playing together.
are curious about turning everyday materials into something you can make music with.
No previous musical experience is needed. You’ll build the instrument you use during the workshop, so you don’t need to bring your own.
Date & time: Tuesday, 17 November · 18:30 – 20:00 CET
Explore rhythm and pulse through clapping, body percussion and simple group exercises. Then design and build your own instrument from recycled and everyday materials, experiment with its sounds and start playing together.
By the end of this session: You have built your own instrument and used it to play rhythms with the group.
Session One
Date & time: Wednesday, 18 November · 18:00 – 20:00 CET
Reconnect with your instrument and develop a short rhythmic piece, either in smaller groups or as one collective. Bring the different rhythms together, rehearse and finish with an informal performance.
By the end of this session: You perform a rhythmic piece using the instruments created during the workshop.

What are the Boring Workshops?
The Boring Workshops are in-person sessions for curious people who want to learn something new, make something or simply try something different. Come together with a small group, learn directly from creatives and professionals, ask questions and get involved as you go.
Every workshop is interactive, practical and focused on a clear outcome, whether that’s a new skill, something you’ve created or a fresh perspective. A chance to step away from the screen, meet people and learn by doing.
“The workshop was inspiring, practical, and full of valuable insights. You can really tell how much care, thought, and passion go into creating these experiences. I left with fresh ideas, a new perspective, and even more motivation to create.”
— Gabriella K. about Videography and Content Creation with Andrew Mercieca
“Very interesting and innovative workshop from The Boring Workshops and Surzhana.”
— Gillian C. about Materia Bruta with Surzhana Radnaeva
“I took the Introduction to Touch Designer class. A small class with a student focused tutor, was the perfect way to learn such program. With the passion and drive that our tutor Mr Jacob Saliba had, I can now clearly project what I have in mind.”
— Gilbert P. about Introduction to TouchDesigner with Jacob Saliba

Of course. Most people do. The groups are small, so it's easy to join in, and you'll leave knowing a few new faces.

Everything you need is listed under "The practical bits" above, and you'll get an email before the workshop with all the details. Sometimes we organise the equipment for you, sometimes you bring it yourself. If you need to bring something, it's always something you probably have at home or can easily get. Join Arina Volkova, copywriter and brand strategist based in Barcelona for two connected sessions on creative identity, drawn from running brand and editorial at an independent adult film studio, where most of the usual marketing tools are off the table.
The Workshop
Session One: The Iceberg Map
This session digs under what you show to find what's holding your work up: your craft, your point of view, the thing about your work that doesn't change.
Session Two: The Constraint Flip
This session takes a real constraint you're already working under, a platform rule, a tight budget, an audience you haven't built yet, and turns it into a working creative brief.
This workshop is for creatives and brand people working inside real limits, whether that's a platform, a budget, or an audience still being built. No portfolio or industry required, just something you're currently working on.
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
Map the constant beneath your work: your craft, your point of view, the thing that doesn't change
Turn a real constraint you're already dealing with into a working creative brief
Read your own work the way a stranger encounters it, and name the gap between what you meant and what came through
Reuse this framework later, on a new project or a full rebrand
Both sessions run in short timed rounds of solo work and paired exercises, built so you produce something rather than just discuss it. In session one, you fill in your own Iceberg Map alone, then pair up so a partner can read your work cold. In session two, you flip your constraint into a directive alone, then pair up to test whether it's specific to your situation or would work for anyone. Each session closes with a short group share and one concrete thing to carry forward.

Join Keeks and build a vision board that goes beyond the pretty pictures.
The Workshop
Vision boards are easy to make. Making one that actually reflects what you want takes a little more work.
In this two-part online workshop, you’ll go through the process behind the Uggy Vision Board Series, from defining your values and priorities to building your own digital board.
Session One focuses on getting specific about what you want.
Session Two turns those ideas into a visual direction using images, Canva and practical next steps.
You’ll finish with your own completed vision board and a framework for continuing to use it throughout the year.
